About MiniMail

MiniMail was started in 1981 by Tim Harber to fill the gap in the market for Mini spares and accessories in South London. For the first year of trading he traded from the same premises as Mini car sales specialists The London Mini Centre in Putney in South West London. In 1983 the business moved to separate premises in Putney.

By 1989 the business had expanded on the export side to such a degree that a move to large premises in the countryside was on the cards and it moved 150 miles west to Dymock in rural Gloucestershire to concentrate on Mail Order and Export. Finally in 1995 the business moved 5 miles to the current premises in Kilcot on a 6.5-acre site with old farm buildings giving ample space for storage of large stocks of new and used Mini spares.

Tim’s preference is for the older cars but parts for all ages of car are stocked both for standard and modified cars. Parts for the BMW MINI are not catered for.

Although some original equipment parts are stocked, the business is independent of Rover, British Motor Heritage and BMW and any part numbers used are for identification purposes only.

Tim Harber has had Minis since 1967 and has owned most types and sizes over the years and there are always 8 or 10 Minis on the go in his family. He worked in photography and advertising before moving in to the car spares business in the late 1970’s. In late 2002, having had various performance Minis over the years he started a new hobby – Mini racing! At present he races in the Mighty Minis series, which is a one-make championship for virtually standard road-going Mini Coopers from the early 1990’s. He also writes for Mini Magazine.
